Ankh is an Aotearoa New Zealand poet who’s never far from the sea. His poetry is rooted in the natural, and in the brief persistence of being a person: the deeply personal relationship between our external and internal environments. He believes in poetry as an under-rated key to a constantly evolving puzzle —how to navigate through the giddy mess of the anthropocene as a decent human animal. He’s had the enormous privileges of co-editing at Ice Floe Press and being a poetry contributing editor at Barren Magazine, as well as guest editor for two Black Bough Poetry anthologies. His full collection, The Water Engine, was published by Femme Salvé Books in 2021.
